How we test
The label comes last.
A Disperta recommendation is the output of a documented process. A product does not earn it by being popular, available, or profitable.
1. Eligibility gates
We verify identity, intended use, lawful availability, current safety status, material claims, seller authenticity, warranty, costs, compatibility, and conflicts. A failed gate cannot be offset by a high score.
2. Evidence review
We separate verified specifications from manufacturer claims, Disperta observations, and unknowns. Sources are dated and material changes are logged.
3. Hands-on testing
Each category has a recorded protocol. Cooling tests use inert thermal masses, pump accessories use exact dimensions or mockups, and overpatch testing has skin-safety stop rules.
4. Editorial verdict
The result is Recommended, Conditional, Not recommended, Excluded, or Research incomplete. The status is public and dated.
5. Commercial review
Only after the editorial result do we assess merchant routes, commission, attribution, returns, and support. Commercial value never changes the score.
